What is Travel Lockout?

Travel Lockout is a feature in most of our products that allows you to mechanically or electronically lock the light so it does not accidentally turn on. This is particularly useful when carrying your light in a bag or traveling.

How do I get in and out of Travel Lockout?

Vis/Urban Headlights
Depending on the model of your light, the indicator LED will be in the power button or on the back of your light. To enter travel lockout mode, you will need to hold down the power button for 4-5 seconds or until the indicator LED flashes RED three times. To confirm, tap the power button once and the LED should flash red three times. To exit travel lockout mode, you will need to hold down the power button once more for 4-5 seconds or until the indicator LED flashes GREEN three times. To confirm, tap the power button once and your light should turn on like normal.
Seca Comp/Taz Headlights
The indicator LED will be in the power button. To enter travel lockout mode, you will need to hold down the power button AND the black mode button at the same time for 4-5 seconds or until the indicator LED flashes RED three times. To confirm, tap the power button once and the LED should flash red three times. To exit travel lockout mode, you will need to hold down the power button AND the black mode button at the same time for 4-5 seconds or until the indicator LED flashes GREEN three times. To confirm, tap the power button once and your light should turn on like normal.
Seca Race/Enduro
The Seca Race and Enduro do not have an electrical lockout feature. Instead, to travel with your light safely all you need to do is unplug the light head from the battery. If left plugged in while in a bag or traveling, your light can turn on accidentally. This can result in heat damage to the light and/or surrounding enclosure.
